Founder
Marlon Thompson, Ph.D., is a seasoned healthcare executive with a passion for driving innovation in medical diagnostics and improving patient care. With over two decades of experience in leading global businesses and driving innovation in medical diagnostics and life sciences, he has held leadership positions at prominent companies including Abbott Laboratories, Royal Philips, Leica Biosystems, and Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics.
Dr. Thompson's career highlights include leading the commercial launch of the first FDA-approved blood test for mild traumatic brain injury, leading the development of the global clinical Digital Pathology market, and driving strategic acquisitions to expand business portfolios. He has also advised some of the largest global healthcare companies as a McKinsey management consultant. His expertise spans commercial operations, product development, and business strategy, with a particular focus on advancing healthcare through new technology introduction.
A scientist by training, he holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and has authored multiple patent and peer-reviewed publications. He combines his scientific background with strong business acumen, having earned an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. His blend of scientific knowledge and business leadership gives him a unique ability to assess healthcare technologies and support the growth of the companies that develop them.
